It has been about two years since the release of the pre-production trailer for“Strider’s Tale“; a video that had and still has the will to show the potential of this project and that gives numerous hints about the possible developments of the film; from the photography of the various breathtaking views, to the action of the heroes protagonists, to touching those chords that all lovers of Tolkien and “The Lord of the Rings” will not be able to ignore.
Now, interesting news is arriving regarding this bold and complex project: finally the funding and aid needed for the first shoots have arrived (thanks in part to theC.S.L.T. Association, promoter of youth activities in the Venetian area and in particular of Zelarino and the Santa Lucia Tarù township), thus giving the various compartments of this complex organization a chance to get active.
From the costumes necessary to evoke Tolkien history and mythology, involving the multiple races of the various characters, to the weapons compartment that for the action scenes will prove crucial, all the way down to the makeup, which has been very busy during these hours trying to find the best ways to make all the characters as satisfying and believable as possible.
Filming, we remind you, is scheduled to begin in late February, and director and videomaker Alberto Chinellato promises a start with a bang!
“We will begin by shooting perhaps one of the most challenging sequences,” he commented, “and one that involves no small amount of difficulty, given the outdoor environment and the expected snow. The location will be one of our beautiful mountains in the Veneto region, but we cannot tell you anything more at the moment.”
All that remains is to follow the project on social channels, facebook and instagram, and wait for the next updates; and if you haven’t done so yet, you can subscribe to the newsletter here, with continuous updates on the project and the production of this epic fan-film.
